I’ve been holding off writing a new blog for a reason….a few to be precise….laziness isn’t really one, although I’ll throw that in there….another reason is that my current state is just “going with the flow.” Anyone that knows me….I mean really knows me, knows that’s not who I am…I’m not that guy that sits still and waits for things to come to him…I’m usually a go-getter, but I’ve just been chillin….not quite laying low, but really have been…I’m not happy nor depressed….Not content nor sad….just going with the flow..It’s a weird feeling that I can’t really put into words, I’m just living….I have no urgency for my goals, like I usually do, but at the same time no regrets for just chillin….For the first time in a while I am just taking life as it comes….although, I was bred not to live this way, I am doing it….hey, good things come to those that wait, right??

The main reason why I haven’t written a blog in a while is I am a perfectionist….If I can’t put my all into something, I just won’t do it….I don’t believe in half-assin’ things….I had quite a few topics/ideas for blogs and wish I had acted on them, but the times I was going to write, that “perfectionist” feeling just wasn’t there….

One of the blogs I was going to write about was inspired from my “Live Earth” experience. Yes, Live Earth was over a month ago, but it impacted me…..Now, I don’t know enough about Global Warming to preach about it (this is sad because less than 4 months ago I was teaching a bunch of 9th graders about Global Warming), but the impact of Live Earth on me wasn’t necessarily about global warming….it’s just about the “taking care of the Earth” in general…..I have been making sure that I am doing my part…..for example, recycling….it blows my mind that people don’t recycle…how hard is it to throw a bottle or can or paper into a recycling bin versus the garbage….some naysayers say that recycling does more harm than good because of the pollution it causes during the process, but still….look how many resources are being saved and how much space in landfills is being saved!!! I personally, I been holding to my bottles/cans from lunch until I get home to recycle them…in otherwords if I ate away from home, I would just throw everything out together…now, because I pack a lunch for work, I hold on to the recyclables and recycle them instead of just throwing everything away…call it anal if you want, I call it responsible….

Another thing is littering…I could never understand how someone could throw trash on the ground….especially out the window of their car…that is just plain piggish too me….

Now, I will not be that guy that gets rid of his car to ride a bike, or use public transportation to get around….but I won’t be getting an Escalade as my next whip like I thought I would either (that’s my dream car by the way)…My next car, when ever that is, will not be a gas-guzzler…now if only all cars were economy-friendly….imagine if everyone thought this way….especially the government…

Another blog I thought of was about Michael Vick…and how he lost he endorsements and football season before he went before a trial….Now, everyone knows he is guilty and should serve jail time, but whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?? Is it because he is black?? The racism in this country is very evident when something like this happens….it’s ashame that in 2007 racism still exists…

I was going to write a blog on that and expand on the racism issue because of something on the news I saw happen in Louisianna and an article I read written by Bill O’Reilly, but I just didn’t….I couldn’t muster up the energy to do some further research nor the energy to get into it….maybe one day….

There was a blog on problems with America I was going to write….the thing that led me to this was I heard that there are something like either 17,000 or 70,000 New York kids that are up for adoption…I know there is a big difference between the two numbers, but either way, they are both big numbers….my thing is this though….why in the world are all these celebrities and rich people busy adopting foreign children when there are kids in our own country suffering?? I guess leadership comes from the top, because how much money is poured out of this country to other countries…..when we have people in this country dying on the streets from homelessness or a lack of healthcare….anyone remember Katrina?? Was that an act of racism?

Then there was the execution style shooting in Newark….by who?? Illegal immigrants….listen, I have nothing against people trying to come into America to better their lives….I have nothing against illegal immigrants, but 1. There should be something done to stop them from entering the country and 2. If they are criminals or committing crimes, kick them out…..My reasoning? There are people who are in this country illegally that get more aid from the government then my grandparents whom were born and raised here and worked 30-5o years each, how are illegal aliens getting more Social Security then my grandparents….that’s one reason, the other is that one of the shooters in that Newark tragedy was a criminal that should have been in jail….that is another problem with America, our justice system, maybe for another day….how could an illegal immigrant who got in trouble with the cops twice (for assault 1o months ago and sexual assault on a young girl last month) still be in this country, free as a bird nonetheless….are you f’in kidding me?? This guy was still on the streets because of a “gap” in our legal system….time to fix them gaps!! And please don’t get me started on child molesters….how many repeat offenders are there out there??

Lastly, there was a blog on our celebrity heroes…So much could also be said about Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears’s antics, but you know what?? They are people just like me and you….how many of us know someone like them?? I know I do, but because they are in the spotlight they get criticzed….Mind you, I don’t like Lindsay Lohan, but what is she doing that any other 21 year old isn’t doing??? Even Micheal Vick…How many of us know people that raise pits to be vicious?? I do! Just because these people are celebrities doesn’t mean they aren’t human…Please, I don’t condone what they are doing or have done, I’m just saying….they are no more or less human than me or you (even though they are filthy rich)…Yes, they should straighten up and be better role models, but we can’t fault them if they don’t… The America Press and the way they perceive these starts is another problem with America…but hey, in a country where OJ Simpson is featured in a football videogame (All-Pro 2k8) on a team called “The Assassins” in 2007, what could we expect from America and Americans in general??

Anyways, I’m going to leave you with that….I wanted to write great well-thought out blogs about each of those subjects but just could get myself to do it….I apologize because I do know that I have a little following going on here on the internet…and I do appreciate all the love and support I get on here and myspace….Just bear with me….I know this “going with the flow” feeling will eventually go away, It’s not in my nature to be like this….I know with the fall coming up it will change…The fall is one of my favorite times of the year….I don’t know what it is, but it is….in fact, I already have an idea for another blog….stay tuned
